Jill Brown has over 20 years of experience working within the non-profit setting including both fund development and direct services. With her undergraduate in Community Development and her Masters of Public Administration, she has the practical training to manage NW Kidney Kids. Jill joined the Transplant Families board in 2020 and is serving as the Board Treasurer. She is also active with her local Main Street organization. Jill is the mom to Kylee, an 11-year-old kidney kid who got her kidney transplant from Jill in 2013.
PT Program & Camp Manager
Mackenzie Kerper was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease as a teen and wasn’t able to relate the experience with anyone until she found NW Kidney Kids 10 years later. With her degree in Health Education and other job experience, she moved into her current role. She has a BS in Health Education and plenty of experience creating programs for kids and youth.
Events & Marketing Manager
Maggie McKenzie graduated college in 2018 with a BS in Communications. She uses this to promote and create events for NW Kidney Kids. She found a connection to the organization after being diagnosed with end-stage renal disease in April 2018 and receiving a transplant in 2020. She loves to put on big fundraising events that help the community that she loves and appreciates all of the support she has received from the Northwest Kidney Kids family!
PT Grants & YA/Camps Coordinator
Nicholas LaHusen is a natural leader as he was a camp counselor for the past 4 years and knows the kids well. He has 2 years of Student Government Leadership experience at PSU and is finishing his Business Management degree there after Covid passes and it is safe for him to resume in person education.
